About the Artist

I am a 40 year old painter & hair stylist (my “real job” as I call it).
I love to paint, draw, read, work in my garden, & generally make things. I am particularly skilled at making huge messes. I love to read, grow flowers and vegetables, cook, knit, sew & paint.  I love little absurdities in life and have an affinity for four letter words, 80’s pop & 70’s classic rock.

I am married to the most wonderfully patient man on the planet and we are raising 3 fantastic little blond boys. I have a big 3 year old doggo named Patty Cake, an energetic puppy named Bubbles, & a tiny calico cat named Margot. I also have rehabilitated a Bearded Dragon named Lizalfo!
Our home in western Washington is my favorite place in the world, and I’m constantly inspired by this gorgeous corner of the world.

Painting gives me room to challenge myself, to unwind, to sort out a myriad of thoughts & feelings & sometimes help others do the same. I realized a few years ago that I was exhausted by feeling afraid of rejection & started openly sharing my paintings with other people. Soon I realized I wanted to let other people share it too, and started printing cards as a way to make each piece more accessible to others.
I firmly believe art should be accessible to everyone, & artists deserve to be compensated fairly. The elitism & gate keeping that is rampant in the creative world drives me crazy. One of my primary goals is to offer something for everyone, from large canvas paintings to miniature stickers!
Whenever possible I love to collaborate & coordinate with other small businesses & artists.
You can find more of my artwork available to purchase in Organics 101 in Montesano, ISH PNW in Shelton, and in select vending machines by Contents May Vary in Grays Harbor.
